We are currently recruiting for an experienced Internal Communications and Engagement Manager on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract working 3 days a week.
Within this role you will work closely with our Director of People and Culture as well as stakeholders across the business, driving the implementation of the internal communications strategy and engagement plan, which informs colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
This is a standalone partnering role, supporting the shaping of communications planning and delivery of effective content, which engages and motivates colleagues.
We are looking for someone who’s operated at a Manager or Senior Manager level, looking for a part time opportunity, in an Internal Communications and Engagement role with specific expertise in the communication of change management, employee engagement, culture and DEI programmes and Employer Value Propositions.
This position is based at our Kingston upon Thames office, with frequent travel to multiple sites within the UK including our Leyland office in the North West.
Job Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies that align with company objectives and values to drive a strong internal culture where our people feel that they Belong.
- Establish and execute a structured, effective implementation plan for companywide initiatives and programmes, looking for opportunities to improve the employee experience.
- Create and own the communications calendar aligned to company communication needs.
- Supporting the delivery of wellbeing and engagement activities aligned to our DEI and wellbeing strategy.
- Create and manage content for various internal communication channels.
- Manage internal communication projects from start to finish, including content creation, editing, and distribution.
- Measure the effectiveness of internal communication programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Support the delivery of internal events.
- Stay up to date with communication trends and emerging technologies to ensure the company’s communication strategy is innovative and effective.
- Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels, Brands and Shared Services areas.
- Build strong and positive relationships to ensure that a strong sense of trust prevails and therefore engagement with all communication activity.
- Conduct regular communication needs with all business units to ensure we are proactive in communication planning.
- Proactively build relationships with Emirates Group teams to ensure the business can leverage best practice.
To be considered for this role, you need to have the following skills and experience:
- Significant experience in an Internal Communications and Engagement role.
- Proven track record of formulating communications strategies, plans and calendars.
- Experienced in the communication of change management, employee engagement, culture and DEI programmes and Employer Value Propositions.
- Excellent verbal, engaging writing, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change, more of a creator rather than just a maintainer, proactive, motivated, driven, seeking opportunities that optimise learning and growth.
- This will be a busy, fast paced role, and will require strong prioritisation and time management skills.
- Outstanding project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of various communication channels, including email, intranet, digital signage, and social media.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and manage expectations of stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Highly competent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and content management systems.
