We are now recruiting for a part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant who is ideally immediately available to join us at Lancaster House in Leyland (Lancashire).
In this role, you’ll produce monthly management accounts, support the delivery of detailed forecasts and monthly variance analysis, and prepare additional reports and supporting schedules for Quarterly reporting and the year end audit.
This is a hybrid role based 3 days in the office each week and 2 days remotely.
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:
- Part qualified, working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA) or Qualified by Experience (QBE)
- Previous experience in a financial role
- Knowledge of accounting standards and financial control frameworks
- Strategic thinker with ability to visualise opportunities and improve business processes
- A proven ability to deliver high quality management information
- A numerate and analytical thinker, self-motivated and solution orientated
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Commercially astute with the ability to identify opportunities to improve profits and reduce costs
- Great attention to detail
- An excellent communicator, comfortable with communicating at all levels
- Able to work in a team environment and autonomously
- Good IT skills particularly MS Office (Excel to high standard of proficiency) and knowledge of Sage is desirable but if not, other similar accounting packages
- Able to work under pressure
- A travel industry background is desirable
