We are recruiting for a UK Financial Controller to cover a period of maternity leave, leading the Group’s regulatory and financial control environment.
In this role you will maintain and improve the standard of financial control and ensure that the business operates within the appropriate laws and regulations. Alongside this, you will drive efficiencies in reporting and controls and provide challenge and business partnership to the Finance management team on consistency and the appropriateness of financial controls.
You’ll lead on financial audits and provide rationalisation and ongoing management of financial policies and process across the UK. As UK Financial Controller you’ll be the point of contact for CAA/ATOL and ABTA, which includes regulatory reporting/filing and licence renewals.
This role is based in Leyland on a hybrid basis, based in the office a minimum of 3 days each week and 2 days remotely.
We expect this role to commence in early-mid February 2024
To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following qualification, skills and experience:
- ACA qualified
- Up-to-date technical skills including IFRS
- Strong focus on controls and processes and a high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sage X3/TM1 knowledge is desirable
- Previous experience of working in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Demonstrable experience in setting up new process improvements from scratch
- The ability to influence in a matrix organisation
- Stakeholder management experience
- Previous experience in the Retail, Leisure or Travel industry is desirable
