We are now recruiting for an experienced Lead UX Designer to lead our UX designer team across multiple brands and platforms, defining and championing the overall UX design vision and strategy.  

In this role you’ll design digital solutions focusing on exceptional user experience and enhancement of our digital platforms.  

You’ll work with the Digital Product team, and key stakeholders to map and define the strategic end-to-end customer experience of existing and new products.  

This is a hybrid role, based 3 days a week at our office in Leyland and 2 days remotely. 

 Job Accountabilities 

  • Lead a team of UX designers, providing mentorship, guidance, and feedback to foster their growth and development.  
  • Align with the Digital Product team, and key stake holders to map and define the strategic end-to-end customer experience of existing and new products. 
  • Employ user research and analytics data to develop a deep understanding of how users engage, what matters to them and improvement areas. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to understand project requirements, define objectives, and ensure alignment with business goals and timelines. 
  • Conduct in-depth user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to gain deep insights into user behaviours, preferences, and pain points.  
  • Develop comprehensive user personas, journey maps, and information architectures to guide the design process and inform decision making.  
  • Create innovative and intuitive design solutions for web and mobile applications, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.  
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in user design, accessibility, and interaction design  
  • Stay up to date of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design  
  • Collaborate with across the business to deliver high-quality design solutions  
  • Design and facilitate workshops to encourage collaborative ownership of problems and defining collective plans of action. 

 To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:  

  • Extensive experience as a UX designer within an ecommerce environment. 
  • A strong portfolio of case studies showing an understanding of problem-solving, using research and design to deliver value. 
  • Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions.  
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD or similar 
  • A strong understanding of user-centric design principles, information architecture, and interaction design 
  • Previous experience running UX/UI projects from initiation to delivery. 
  • Mentoring and training experience for UX/UI and UX Designers. 
  • Experience facilitating workshops 
  • Experience working in an Agile environment 
  • Understanding of A/B testing tools and how to leverage them to improve conversion. 


  • Travel industry experience/knowledge 
  • Competency using GA or similar to ascertain data
