Junior Delivery Manager (0346)

dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster. These brands are based at offices across the UK including Preston (Leyland), Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester and Halifax.

We are now recruiting for a Junior Delivery Manager who will support our Delivery Manager in the management of one or more agile teams, typically to deliver a specific product or transformation via a multi-disciplined, digital team.

In this role you will support the delivery of complex digital projects, remove blockers for the team, promote a culture of psychological safety in the teams, manage the team dynamics and foster a continuous improvement environment.

 Job Accountabilities

  • Organise the work within Jira and make all the work easily visible to all involved and interested parties.
  • Manage and motivate delivery teams and manage stakeholder expectations, remove impediments for the team to enable them to work more effectively.
  • Agree on the priority of releases with the Product Owner and Stakeholders.
  • Capture and report on timelines and metrics in an efficient way.
  • Report on status of releases and any obstacles back to the Programme Manager and Stakeholders.
  • Deliver projects and products using the appropriate agile project management methodology, learning & iterating frequently.
  • Organise and facilitate (not necessarily run) key meetings including stand up, retrospectives, iteration planning and show case.
  • Mange delivery team capacity (people).
  • Manage and communicate delivery risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Ensure the team implements the product development process the team has defined.

To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Some proven experience working in Agile Delivery using some Agile methodologies
  • Previous Involvement in helping teams to take up Agile processes.
  • A credible track record of contributing to the overall delivery function.
  • Previously been involved in the adoption of Agile across a team.
  • A track record of effective management of Agile ceremonies.
  • Proficient at removing blockers and troubleshooting, particularly with regards to the Agile workflow.
  • Experience with agile tools such as JIRA, confluence and Slack.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Good organisational and communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, providing structured thinking and challenge to problems.
