We are now recruiting for an IT Vendor & Contracts Manager, based in our flagship Preston/Leyland office. The IT Vendor & Contracts Manager will be responsible for IT contract operations, supplier performance and delivery, as well as supplier capability mapping and continuous rationalization based on dnata Travel technology strategy.  

This IT Vendor & Contracts Manager will provide an advisory role to the Head of Travel IT, on IT contract and supplier related matters. They will also be the interface between the IT department and third-party suppliers of assets and services, who are external to the organization.


  • Review & make risk assessments of all suppliers & contracts on a regular basis
  • Ensure that any underpinning contracts, agreements or SLAs developed are aligned with those of the business
  • Ensure all IT supplier processes are consistent and interface with all corporate supplier strategies, processes and standard terms and conditions
  • Share the value-add services that are available as part of any third-party contracts
  • Develop and leverage relationships with suppliers to attain maximum value-add for the business
  • Provide assistance in the development and review of SLAs, contracts, agreements or any other documents for third-party suppliers
  • Effectively manage escalations raised by business on supplier performance
  • Conduct regular service reviews along with IT Service team with existing IT Suppliers on their performance of service ensuring business SLA’s are being met and seek opportunities for continuous service improvement
  • Coordinate with Emirates Group IT for corporate vendor management and/or procurement processes
  • Ensure that all supporting services are scoped and documented and that interfaces and dependencies between suppliers, supporting services and supplier processes are agreed and documented
  • Coordinate with various IT teams (e.g. Engineering, Delivery & Service) to assess changes for their impact on suppliers, supporting services and contracts and attending CAB meetings when appropriate
  • Perform annual Supplier bench-marking on Strategic and Critical suppliers and at any contract renewal point for all other suppliers

Qualification & Experience:

  • Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Supply Chain management or qualification in Supplier management
  • 5+ years’ experience in a supplier management, contract management or procurement role
  • Experience in managing IT suppliers/contracts is an advantage
  • A demonstrable track record with managing global suppliers delivering services to a global business
  • Experience in RFI, RFQ, RFP processes
  • Proven track record of managing Contracts & ROI with suppliers

Training & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge or training on Supplier/Contract management
  • Strong skills in Influence & Negotiation
  • Knowledge in researching & sourcing vendors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
