dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Travel 2, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic and Sunmaster. These brands are based at offices across the UK including London, Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester, Preston, Halifax and Glasgow.

We are now recruiting for a Head of SEO, based in our Kingston branch, who will be responsible for architecting the successful SEO strategies & execution across our brands (ie Travelbag, Netflights, Travel Republic) to achieve their objectives and supporting brands’ SEO teams.

As Head of SEO, you will challenge the status quo and will constantly look to improve the way we do things, as this role sets the SEO direction and strategy for the brands of the group, ensuring that SEO activity delivers against plan and that new industry trends are recognised, communicated, tested and optimised.

You’ll be ahead of the digital curve, providing dnata with game-changing projects. Promoting continuous SEO innovation, you will identify key trends and insights, and propose new growth initiatives whilst optimising return on investment and performance based on the insights aligned to business priorities.

You will drive technical SEO changes and be responsible for coordinating with design, content, product, data science and engineering teams to maximise organic reach by building SEO compliant products and services.

Job Accountabilities

    • Be responsible for shaping SEO budget requirements and delivery.
    • Measure and report performance of all SEO initiatives and assess against goals ROI and KPIs and make the appropriate business decisions to meet P&L targets.
    • Develop and implement a cohesive organic search strategy across dnata brands to increase awareness, engagement and revenue
    • Managing global technical SEO roadmap
    • Brainstorm new and creative growth initiatives based on local business objectives
    • Shape and explore new ways of scaling content production with analytics, data and commercial teams to develop content strategies and expansion of programmatic content solutions (Travel Republic- think- scalable content, Travelbag- tailored and curated!)
    • Introduce and managing seasonal strategies to ensure websites are well prepared ahead of time for changes
    • Build, mentor and manage teams of SEO Executives across the brands that are responsible for developing, implementing and managing SEO experiences in support of campaigns, product launches, and other key business initiatives. You will be developing their skills, evaluating their performance and managing their growth.
    • Develop and maintain solid working relationships with strategic group partners both internal (local and global cross-functional teams) and external (vendors) to drive impactful business outcomes and optimize SEO growth and profitability.
    • Share your expertise and knowledge with other analytical functions across the business to develop sound strategies to deliver on future projects.
    • Research new SEO tools and develop systems to track performance
    • Stay on top of industry developments to ensure the company expands the scope of their cutting-edge implementations
    • Look for synergies and efficiencies across the brands’ SEO technology stack
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations on metrics for stakeholders & leadership teams and represent SEO channel across the group
    • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
    • Hire & develop of the SEO team
    • Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual planning of the company’s objectives
    • Create and pitching business cases for SEO initiatives and strategies

    • Someone who naturally builds relationships and who is comfortable selling
    • Comfortable making judgement calls and problem-solving for the team as/where needed
    • Ability to find, negotiate with and manage local resource when required

     

  • Relationship Management

    • Act as a point person for SEO interactions with the wider business, including training new team members and liaising with product to ensure the timely publishing of all content

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Extensive experience working in SEO- at least 7 years working in SEO, with 4 years working in-house and proven experience leading a team.
  • Have a track record of working with enterprise level domain, with experience creating, driving and optimising large-scale SEO campaigns to push forward growth and revenue.
  • Previous experience of team leadership
  • Proven work experience in a senior and strategic SEO role, with excellent knowledge of the specialism
  • Expert analytical skills and experience of large-scale successful content campaigns
  • Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to apply them at all levels, including leadership
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
  • Excellent technical SEO understanding
  • Experience with DeepCrawl, GetSTAT and JavaScript (inc. AngularJS and React) domains
  • A record of managing large, cross-functional projects

Desirable Experience

  • You have a travel industry experience
  • You have created and executed SEO strategy across multiple languages OR multiple brands
  • You consider yourself a self-starter who comes up with new and creative approaches to achieve results
