dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster. 

We are now expanding our Planning & Change team and are excited to be recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Specialist who will play an instrumental part in the improvement of our end-to-end operating model. Reporting to the Head of Planning and Change, this role will ensure we have alignment between customer experience, operational excellence and cost transformation. 

In this role, you will take the lead in the analysis, development and implementation of existing and new business processes that drive greater service excellence, cost efficiencies and adherence to compliance/operational standards. As our Continuous Improvement Specialist, you will be responsible for interfacing with our business leads, IT and Group Product to drive continuous improvement across all brands and functions in partnership with the TDO project team.  

Key to the role is quickly building relationships, engaging and communicating well at all levels. You will need to seek employees’ input on continuous improvement efforts, to ensure they feel invested in the process and are more likely to assume ownership of the outcomes. 

This role is based at our flagship office in Leyland. Some travel will be required to other UK sites. Hybrid working can be offered with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office. 

Job Accountabilities 

  • Design the continuous improvement programme 
  • Clearly define the programme objectives and scope 
  • Manage continuous improvement projects 
  • Report progress through the TDO 

To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills, experience and qualifications:  

  • An appropriate Project or Programme management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP (Project Management Professional) or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP). 
  • Continuous-improvement certification at the Green - or Black-Belt level (desirable) 
  • Experience working within Continuous Improvement function of large organisations, ideally in the travel industry 
  • Experience presenting to senior level and C-suite management  
  • The ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organisation 
  • Analytical and synthesis skills, able to present complex information into summary reports 
  • Flexibility and diplomacy in interpersonal relationships
  • The ability to influence decision-making 
  • Methodical and rigorous work habits – quality driven but able to deliver at speed 
  • A comprehensive understanding of CI methodology 
  • Organisational skills and the ability to multitask  
  • Proficiency in commonly used Project Management and CI software
  • Able to develop and deliver guidance, advice and training to employees on CI activities
