dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster. These brands are based at offices across the UK including Preston (Leyland), Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester and Halifax.

We are now recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our recently formed Procurement Function and provide procurement support to all our UK brands across all indirect spend categories.

This role will report to the Head of Procurement and will support and lead on procurement activities predominantly within IT, Marketing and Facilities. As this is a new team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Procurement with the establishment and embedding of category management, procurement strategy and supplier management principles. A key part of your role will also be to establish procurement analytics.

We need you to be a highly experienced negotiator and competent in contract reviews and tendering processes across multiple categories of spend.

To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following qualifications, skills and experience

  • Degree or Honours ideally in business/management discipline
  • MCIPS or studying towards
  • Previous experience in a procurement, contract or supplier management role
  • Extensive experience of working across multiple categories of indirect spend (a strong IT and/or Marketing background would be advantageous)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in deploying procurement analytics
  • A demonstrable track record with managing global suppliers delivering services to a global business
  • Experience in RFI, RFQ, RFP processes
  • Proven track record of negotiating, reviewing and managing contracts & ROI with suppliers
  • Confident in analysing procurement/spend data
  • Strong skills in influencing & negotiation
  • Knowledge in researching & sourcing vendors, market intelligence/supply base assurance activities
