Head of Finance (0301)

dnata Travel, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Travel 2, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, Global Travel Group and Sunmaster.

We are now recruiting for a Head of Finance to support the brands of Travelbag & Netflights. Managing a finance team of 2 to you will be tasked with producing monthly management accounts and deliver detailed forecasts, budgets and monthly variance analysis. Deliver clear reporting and commentary to senior management to support financial decision making. Provide challenge and support to the management team to help implement cost control and revenue generation initiatives across the business.

In order to be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills and experience:

Business Partnering

  • Facilitate the production of regular forecasts and maintain risks and opps schedules to keep management and group appraised of brand financial performance
  • Produce annual budget and 3 year plan (MTP) to provide guidance on the future profitability of the business
  • Critically review and appraise business case decisions to ensure they deliver an acceptable return on investment and payback period

Reporting, Accounting & Control

  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis and insightful commentary against budget, forecast and prior year for both businesses
  • Manage the audit process for Travelbag & Netflights and work closely with the FD UK Group Financial Control to deliver requirements for internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure standardised balance sheets are robustly maintained and all risks and opportunities flagged on a timely basis and reported to the FD B2C dnata Europe


  • Play an integral role within the Travelbag and Netflights management teams, providing input on a range of business issues
  • Establish a culture of learning and continuous improvement across the finance team, challenge the status quo and look for ways to do things better and more efficiently
  • Provide leadership, individual and team development, instilling and driving a performance culture
  • Manage and motivate a team of 2 direct reports to achieve the team’s goals and support individual career progression
