Business Analyst (Air) (0416)

dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster. These brands are based at offices across the UK including Preston (Leyland), Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester and Halifax.

We are now recruiting for a Business Analyst who has experience of Travel and Air domains to join us at either our flagship office in Leyland or our recently refurbished office in KIngston

Our Business Analysts (BA) are technically proficient and are the bridge between Product, Business and IT. In this role you will manage the business analysis of deliverables, support the team(s), maintain the acceptance criteria and ensure focus on current and future iterations. 

You will work closely with multiple functions leading on eliciting, analysing, validating, specifying, verifying, and managing the business and product needs throughout the delivery process. You will ensure accuracy and comprehensively break down the requirements to ensure our engineering teams have met the criteria, before handing the development over to the Product and Business Acceptance Testing phase.

We need someone for this role who is process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing environment. You need to be energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure

To be considered for this role, you need to have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Experience of the Travel and Air domain including GDS or NDC, ticketing and Schedule Change.
  • Proven experience working in Agile IT Delivery, either as a Technical Product Owner, Technical Product Manager or a Business Analyst.
  • Demonstrable Agile methodology experience, preferably within a Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Expert understanding of business analysis principles, processes and techniques
  • The ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments
  • The ability to develop and prepare process models, functional specifications, and technical requirements
  • The ability to perform industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office, Confluence and JIRA
