dnata Travel Group, part of the Emirates Group, includes the brands of Gold Medal, Netflights, Travelbag, Travel Republic, and Sunmaster. These brands are based at offices across the UK including Preston (Leyland), Kingston-upon-Thames, Chester and Halifax.

We are now recruiting for an experienced Business Analyst. The BA will manage the business analysis of deliverables agreed in the Program Increment (PI) / quarterly planning workshops, supporting the team(s), maintaining the acceptance criteria, ensuring focus on current and future iterations and preparing backlogs for subsequent iterations.

It is critical for the role holder to work closely with multiple functions including Product, the business, IT and the vendors,
leading on eliciting, analysing, validating, specifying, verifying, and managing the business and product needs throughout
the delivery process.

To be considered for this role you need to have previous Business Analyst experience alongside Agile methodology ideally in the travel industry, although this is not essential. You need to be able to interact with a variety of people and adapt your style to different personalities. You must be process-oriented with sound judgment, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through including the flexibility to perform in an ever-changing work environment. Our Business Analysts are energetic, driven and committed to project success while working under tight time constraints and pressure

Job Accountabilities

  • Build collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders across product, business, operational and delivery areas to
    ensure alignment across scope, requirements, priorities, design and plans
  • Facilitate and drive the stakeholders to succinctly define and baseline the overall scope and requirements, ensuring
    alignment with product and technology roadmaps, architectural and operational objectives
  • Act as the interface between the business and technical teams during development and roll-out of IT changes
  • Attend and contribute to key Product Management and Planning meetings
  • Lead the end-to-end analysis, scoping and planning approach to clearly and accurately define Epics and Stories
    against a prioritised Product, Project and Technology roadmaps
  • Support agile delivery ceremonies, prepare and facilitate PI Planning / sprint activities such as backlog grooming and
    3-amigo sessions
  • Undertake scope, feasibility and benchmark assessments for new products and projects as required

Qualifications, skills and experience

  •  Business analysis experience
  • Agile methodology experience
  • An understanding of business analysis principles, processes and techniques
  • The ability to think analytically, solve problems to complex business processes, and document results
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise manner across functional and technical departments
  • The ability to develop and prepare process models, functional specifications, and technical requirements
  • The ability to perform industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office and Visio
